Maen Nimrawi

Maen Nimrawi, Projects Manager- Energy Management and Commissioning, KEO International Consultants

 

During his work experience in the Middle East, Maen managed and led over 80 projects in the field of energy management, performance contracting, green buildings and building commissioning. An engineer by training and MBA candidate armored with business and leadership skills toward delivering organisation’s value and targeted business growth.

Maen also is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM®) as well as a LEED AP

As a senior member of KEO International Consultant sustainability division; Maen is leading the energy management and commissioning services in the Gulf region in line with the overarching corporate vision toward diversifying the firm’s offering and create value through delivering profitable, viable and feasible niche services for potential clients and end-users. After achieving double-digit business growth since joining the firm; Maen is entitled to explore, develop and launch the portfolio-wide spectrum of smart (digitized) energy management and monitoring-based commissioning services as part of the future sustainability division offerings. Maen represented KEO as a Chairman and/or Speaker in various regional conferences, forums and exhibitions, In addition to effective participation represented in articles and blogs published in regional and international engineering journals and magazines.

Prior to KEO Maen managed the Energy Management Bureau at Schneider Electric, Saudi Arabia. In its first three years as a start-up division, the Energy Bureau contributed to generate revenue of 40 million Saudi Riyals in energy management services and cross selling of energy management solutions and products.  As part of Schneider Electric’s corporate sustainability milestones, Maen led the achievement of certifying Schneider Electric headquarter in Riyadh as the first ISO50001:2011 energy management system certified private building in the Kingdom.

Prior to joining Schneider, Maen was a Senior Energy Efficiency Auditor and LEED Project Manager at Energy Management Services International where he participated and managed turn-key projects of energy performance contracting services along with managing and delivering other energy auditing, energy value analysis and LEED certification projects. Currently, Maen is enrolled with the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Manchester Business School. He has graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering from the Hashemite University in Jordan.

Charles Blaschke

He started the company in 2013 after working in the automotive, mining, industrial, and technology consulting industries with four years of building engineering experience since moving from Dubai in 2008. 

Charles and the company specialize in fully-financed, paid-from-savings Energy Performance Contracting efficiency projects. The goal is to help reduce 20% of the world's energy consumption using technology, finance and engineering, applying IoT, energy modeling, energy monitoring, asset management and BIM.

Fawaz Alharbi

Head of Master Planning & Project Development, Jeddah Economic Company - Kingdom Tower

Fawaz is an emerging planning professional with over 17 years of practical experience, his main focus areas include Design, Planning, Infrastructure, Leadership and Management roles. He was initially trained as an Architect and later as an Urban Planner, and has worked in both public and private sectors.

Now he works for one of the leading Urban Development companies in the region, Jeddah Economic Company. He joined the company back in 2012, responsible for the Master Plan of Jeddah Economic City. During this period Fawaz utilized his diverse experience and skills in current international best practice design and planning trends for optimal professional output.
His key role in the company is to manage the planning and design aspects of the development, including, Smart City Program, Market Studies, Traffic and Environmental Impact Studies and all the related aspects of the design and engineering progress of the development.
The development is envisioned as a world class modern landmark in the region, located at the shore of the Red Sea to the north of Jeddah. Mohammad Tassi

Mohammad has wide international expertise in Facilities Management, Construction Management, and Sustainability Management, as well as in MEP Utilities and Infrastructure Management. 

Moreover, he had a long pioneering path as a free-lance consultant, education lecturer, professional trainer, and public speaker mainly on LEED Certification and Sustainability Management fields. 

He has officially represented the country of Lebanon in many regional and international platforms.

Mohammad has a Master’s degree in Engineering Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the American University of Beirut (AUB). 


In his current position, as Director of Facilities Management at KAPSARC, Mohammad is leading a strategic senior team in handling Technical Services, Utilities and Infrastructure, Community Services, Event Management, Office Services, Contract and Finance Administration, as well as Quality and Performance Management on the entire KAPSARC Premises (include world-class prestigious LEED Certified facilities).

Ahmed Khoja (M.Sc. TUM)

Senior Researcher, Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS)

Ahmed is senior researcher and lecturer at the institute for building climatology at the Faculty of Architecture of Munich University of Applied Sciences. His research areas include Sustainable urban neighbourhoods, energy efficient retrofitting and zero energy developments. 
 
Ahmed is  involved in a number of national and international research projects, which focus on the smart, sustainable and energy efficient developments. Ahmed also work a sustainability consultant and was involved in assessing the sustainability performance of some Europe innovative projects, such as the Allianz Campus in Munich  , the REHAU head office in Vienna (both DGNB Platinum)  and the assessment of the sustainability performance of  the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup stadia. 
 
Ahmed  he holds Bachelor Degree in Architecture from King Abdul-Aziz University and Master’s Degree in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Construction from the Technical University of Munich, where he is also pursuing his Ph.D. degree 
 

Dr. Muhammad Asif

Associate Professor, Department of Architectural Engineering, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, KSA

Dr Muhammad Asif is an Associate Professor in the Architectural Engineering Department at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) since 2013. He is Charted Engineer, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and Member of the Energy Institute (UK). He sits on several international forums including the accreditation panel of the Energy Institute. He completed PhD

in Applied Energy Engineering from Edinburgh (UK) in 2002 and has held fulltime

faculty positions for over 10 years in British Universities.

He is regularly invited for teaching renewable and sustainable energy courses by various universities in

Germany, Spain, Austria and Turkey. His areas of research interest include renewable energy, sustainable buildings, energy conservation and management and life cycle assessment. He has authored over 50 research publications including a research monograph.

His publications are highly cited with one of his articles having received over 325 citations. His work has been referred in various European policy documents and directives. Dr Asif has supervised 8 PhD and 2 MPhil projects to successful completion. He is actively involved in academic and industrial collaborations. He has provided consultancy services to a number of prominent international organisations including European Commission, Nor-Dan (Norway) and BAE Systems (UK).

He has also contributed to the Annual Strategic Studies for the Industry Collaboration Program of KAUST. Currently he is leading a large international consortium as the Principal Investigator on a large Building Energy research project for the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE).”

Francisco Ramalheira

Having been with Enova since 2009, Francisco was appointed Business Development & Marketing Director in September 2017. With an extensive operational background in, and knowledge of, different business models, as well as a proven track record consolidating and developing business units, he is the perfect fit for this role.
