Overview

As Saudi Arabia accelerates preparations for Expo 2030 Riyadh, the FIFA World Cup 2034, and the continued delivery of Vision 2030, the Kingdom is entering a new era of urban transformation. While landmark giga-projects continue to reshape the skyline, equal emphasis is being placed on enhancing the performance, resilience, and sustainability of existing buildings and infrastructure to meet rising operational and occupancy demands across key sectors.

Tourism, business, and investment continue to grow, hence retrofitting existing assets and delivering sustainable new developments have become essential to creating smarter, more efficient, and future-ready buildings. From Tarshid's nationwide retrofit programmes and energy-efficient public infrastructure upgrades to the adaptive reuse of landmark developments and the integration of smart technologies across giga-projects, Saudi Arabia is redefining how buildings are designed, operated, and modernised.

As demand grows for decarbonisation, circular construction, digitalisation, and intelligent building management, retrofit and sustainable building solutions have become central to the Kingdom's built environment strategy.

Against this backdrop, the 10th RetrofitTech KSA Summit returns to Riyadh on 27 - 28 October 2026, celebrating a decade of green innovation. This year's edition will showcase the latest innovations in building retrofits, energy management, AI-driven building operations, smart buildings, sustainable materials, green finance, and circular construction,

The summit proudly supports and aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the Saudi Green Initiative, and the National Energy Efficiency Program, reinforcing the Kingdom's commitment to a smarter, more sustainable, and resilient built environment.
